D&I Kreichelt Residence

Addition and Renovation of a farmhouse into a primary residence for the owner and his family. The existing structure had previously been converted into two apartments (one first floor, one second floor).

The new addition contained a new kitchen on the first floor and master bathroom and closet on the second floor. All first floor spaces were renovated to become the common living room with fireplace, dining space, and powder room. A new porch was added to the existing to create a contiguous wrap around porch, and the main entry relocated from the busy main road to a secondary side street, adding a new sense of "front door" appeal and usability. The project included pealing away the plaster parging to expose the existing stone wall construction
